NATURAL HISTORY WEEKEND WORKSHOPS AT HIGH POND FARM
IN PLYMOUTH, NEW HAMPSHIRE ARE A FUN, EASY WAY TO LEARN
TOGETHER WITH OTHER
LIKE-MINDED INDIVIDUALS!
Our workshops are limited to 10 students,
our teachers are recognized experts in their fields,
our accommodations are comfortable and our food is delicious!
Conveniently located just off
93 in the center of New Hampshire, High Pond Farm is
perched on a hilltop with magnificent views of the Sandwich Range
and Mt. Tecumseh. Our 25 acres feature a wildlife and swimming
pond with sandy beach, an intermittent stream, woods, meadows, and
lovely perennial gardens. Nearby conservation parcels offer
opportunities to study bog, stream, and forested habitats. The
alpine habitats of Franconia Notch are half an hour's drive from
the farm, as is Mount Moosilauke. Squam and Newfound Lakes are 15
minutes away. We can accommodate ten students (double or triple
occupancy) in 2 spacious cabins in the woods and 2 bedrooms in
the main house.
Workshop
fees include instruction in field and classroom, use of our
microscopes, sleeping accommodations for two nights,
and all
meals from Friday night supper through Sunday lunch.
