On October 14th, the AIRMAP project in the EOS (Earth, Oceans, and Space) Institute at the University of New Hampshire will host a free, one-day teacher workshop to focus on a report titled “Indicators of Climate Change in the Northeast 2005”. This report summarizes research findings on a dozen climate change indicator trends, including annual temperature, snowfall, bloom dates, and others. The report was co-produced by the Dr. Cameron Wake (UNH-CCRC) and Clean Air-Cool Planet.
Goals of Workshop:
¨ Explain the role of each indicator in the context of regional climate change.
¨ Introduce a lesson plan for investigating climate change in New England that meets K-12 science education standards.
¨ Demonstrate how teachers and students can access and analyze climate change data in their classrooms.

A maximum of 30 teachers will be accepted, so please register ASAP. Certificates of Attendance will be available for participating teachers, in coordination with the NH Science Teacher Association.
