2008 K-12 Science Education Conference, Pinkerton Academy, Derry, NH, Tuesday, November 4, 2008.

The NHSTA Fall Conference is for teachers of grades K - 12 and is called an Elementary-Middle-High School Science Conference. It will be held at Pinkerton Academy in Derry, NH, on Tuesday, November 4, 2008. The conference will begin at 9:00 AM and has a proposed schedule of 3 workshop sessions (of approximately 70 minutes each), followed by dinner.  Exhibitor hours are from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm. The exhibit area at this conference will consist of 4 or 5 rooms with 12 lab tables (24” by 54”) in each room (we are working on a possible other arrangement).  Food and coffee will be set up in the back of each exhibit room.  Electricity is available but must be requested. Exhibitors need to provide their own extension cords. The facility will be available the afternoon before the event to set up.

The rate for exhibit space is $90.00 for 1 table, $135 for 2 tables, and $220 for 3 tables for commercial exhibitors.  Non-profit organizations may be eligible for a reduced rate of $55.00 for 1 table, $95 for 2 tables, and $150 for 3 tables. Tables are lab tables (24” by 54”). If you would like to exhibit, please complete this form and return it with your check made out to NHSTA. There are several good hotels in the area including Sleep Inn, Holiday Inn Express and Best Western.

We are also asking exhibitors to provide a small door prize to be awarded to attendees via a drawing before the end of the conference.  

We will do an exhibitors index to go with our conference booklet (as we did with last year's booklet -and included in the fee above).  This should consist of a paragraph description of the company, a web address and/or mailing address and contact name/s and e-mail addresses.  The conference bulletin will go to the printers about the second week in August, so we would need the information by the first week in August.  We will also publish an updated exhibitor list both in our newsletter, on the web site, and in a hand-out given to attendees the day/days of the conference.

Finally, for future planning, NHSTA is also organizing a spring 2009 conference, date and place to be determined!
